“Flight's Fancy” (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
This value-priced, rustic style cabin offers all of the necessities in one large room. There are two full beds plus a futon to sit on. The full kitchen is stocked with the basics and outside the front door is a small grassy area with a picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit. It also borders the playground so perfect for families. Parking is limited to one vehicle.
• Approximately 390 square feet
• Two full size beds and fold out futon
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking limited to 1 vehicle (Additional vehicles and trailers may require parking separate from the cabin. Fees may apply.)
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. There is an additional fee of $10/person/night for extra persons (ages 7 and over). Maximum occupancy is 6. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   Great little cabin for a quick get-away. Would be a great place for kids, will take the G-kids next year. Great location with easy access to lots of activities including crested butte, Taylor res. and lots of sight seeing.

  The location was central to all we wanted to see. But cabin 10 had a mouse problem. Our first night we wanted to use a skillet and when i pulled it ou it had numerous rodent droppings in it as did the baking dishes and other pots! I told them and the said they would make a note for the cleaning crew! But they already knew because there was a mouse trap set on the other side of the cabinet and it was circled with droppings. When i pay $200.+ a night i don’t expect to have to wash & sterilize the cooking utensils before breakfast could be cooked. So I was glad I had brought a small crockpot from home and the rest of our meals were done in that and we ate off of paper plates. I realize out in the wild you do have things such as rodents come in out of the weather, but when all that was left on the day we were to arrive I feel the housekeeping and the sanitation was lacking. And that is unacceptable but we weren’t there much because we did travel to the area around to fish and to sightsee so we did not let it ruin our good time , I am 80 years old and I have always wanted to stay at three Rivers from all the times we used to camp. But since I can’t tent camp anymore, I decided that this was my chance to stay at three Rivers.

  This is very nice property located at a little over 8000 feet elevation and about 20 minutes north of Gunnison Colorado .The Taylor River runs along the side of the property. There are guided raft and fishing trips available. Had a great time with our friends.

  The location is unbeatable, the cabins are spotless and cozy and the food was delicious. They have a sweet fly shop where you can purchase your fishing license and buy whatever you need for the river from gear and apparel to snacks, beer and ice for the cooler. Essentially, once you are at the resort, you don't really need to leave. We'll be back.

  We were able to book one night at Cabin 10 with less than 7 days notice. I originally asked to be in Cabin 11 due to reviews of Cabin 10 (lacking shower and updates of the cabin overall) but the receptionist said they were trying to fill in holes in reservations and so we went with Cabin 10. Overall the cabin was ok. It was what we expected and enjoy, as we don’t need much and like roughing it a bit. We didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed functional. There was a hole in the carpet (right in front of the bathroom) which my son tripped on and we snagged socks through our one night stay. The beds and sheets were clean, though the beds could use an update. Not sure we could stay here longer than a few nights with the beds. The restaurant was good! Last minute we decided to stay in Almont and eat. Our waiter was very considerate and put in a quick order for our son who needed food stat. We will stay here again with hopes that they get new beds and make simple updates.

  Location is very desirable. The accommodations were average, location of the cabin was pretty. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and as a result I had little sleep over the 2 nights. I could not find a way to turn off the heating unit which came on both nights. The breakfast was awful and was discarded; I did not eat dinner at the on-site restaurant.

  We arrived well passed check in time only to learn that our cabin wasn’t ready because the exterminator was still there setting mice traps. We were told the place had a mice infestation and it was particularly bad this season. We did have one visitor during our 2 day stay. I also found mice droppings in some of the pots and pans that were kept in the bottom cabinet basically on the floor. :(
