“Carey Special” (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
Cabins 17-21 are all the same style of cabin. These are the most popular cabins at the resort, sitting on the banks of the Taylor River. An open deck overlooks the river and includes a private hot tub. Plenty of parking is available here.
• Approximately 576 square feet.
• Each bedroom has a queen size bed.
• Sink/vanity in each bedroom.
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Plenty of parking here for 2 vehicles and toy trailers
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.

All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. There is an additional fee of $10/person/night for extra persons (ages 7 and over). Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   Perfect fit for a family of 4. Loved the hot tub on the river, and the quiet setting. Free bus rides to Crested Butte (town and mountain) was a great bonus as not all of us were skiing/snowboarding, but it was a simple way of getting back and forth. Everything we needed for a relaxing 4 day weekend. Staff was helpful, and the location was beautiful. Highly recommend if you want a quiet experience and you want to do your own cooking rather than experience the long waits of trying to eat in town. If you need anything special for cooking, bring it with you, but all the basics are provided.

  We really did enjoy this little cabin. But the number one thing a person hopes for when renting a place is a good nights sleep. That was a complete fail on our cabin 18. The mattreses were like prison cots. So bad that at 4am I emailed the front office just to speak my mind while it was at peak frustration. We also had no heat in our living room. They resort does have a sign to call if thats an issue, but when you turn the heat up and wake in the middle of the night to no heat, not a great time for them to do a matainance call. This place has been here for a really long time. Very few upgrades have ever been made. Which I don't want to say this place is old, or gross. It's nice. Not 5* but its a solid 3.5*. So it seems more than reasonable the ownership sould upgrade the bedding and I would suggest the carpet as well.

  As usual there is no other place my family and I would rather be then Three Rivers Resort in the fall. Of course we were a little disappointed in the fact that there was no Kokonee fish to be caught, but that's no reflection on your part. I hope to be back again next fall but I do think we would like too come up to the resort a week earlier. The accommodations and the cabins per se were very clean accept there were some little mouse poo-poo in one of our towels. But it really did not effect our feelings about the stay. I will be in touch with the resort for next year's stay by January. And again a big thank you to all of the staff.

  I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Three Rivers. The cabin was comfortable and very clean as were the jacuzzi and patio. Each unit makes good use of the space to get a little privacy outside. You can fish or just hang out by the river right near your cabin.I loved being surrounded by nature while being within walking distance of the restaurant/bar. The food and drinks were great. I didn't feel like I needed to leave the place given that I'd grabbed a few groceries in Gunnison on the way up. If you want to explore there are beautiful hikes and a variety of restaurants in the Crested Butte area. The river rafting trip I booked was a blast. I felt safe with the very capable and conscientious guide. This would be a great spot for a family vacation, but there's enough space and quiet to enjoy on your own.

  I made sure to book my Taylor Riverfront cabin with hot tub on deck a year out so I could listen to the river whilst gazing up at the stars after fishing/rafting/hiking. The location is ideally far enough from Gunnison or Crested Butte to feel more “out there” but close enough to fly into GUC from DEN. Crested Butte is a picturesque and true “ski town” with great bars and restaurants year round. Love Almont!!

  Appreciated a pet-friendly place to stay; especially liked having a personal hot tub and screen room. Note that the floor of the screen room was very dirty but otherwise the cabin was clean. Would have preferred for the cabin to have a more natural setting—it backs up to a gravel parking lot, dumpster, and road.
  Ate at the restaurant twice, overall good food, high cost but to be expected. The one complaint we did have, which we did bring up to our server and the manager at checkout, was that we were forced to sit at a separate patio b/c we had our small dog, which was fine. Except for during most of our meal, we watched as 3 employees took 2/3 large dogs into the outdoor patio/bar. Not appropriate/rude to guests and should not be allowed if guests are going to be forced to separate with their pets.
  The last minor issue was as we drove to checkout at a few minutes before 11, someone approached us and asked if we were leaving our cabin #18. We had no idea who they were (no name tag/uniform) or how they knew our cabin number. It was awkward, and then they said they weren’t pressuring us to leave. We think it was a member of the cleaning crew eager to get in there and start cleaning....

  We stayed over the Christmas weekend, and loved our stay. It was just two of a us and a dog, and we especially enjoyed the hot tub on the patio.
  
  All staff was very friendly, and we appreciated those that shoveled each morning especially.
  
  We did notice that not all the oven knobs would not allow the burners to light. This limited us to only two burners on the oven. The recliner in the living room was very comfortable, but seemed broken and jumped right into a reclining position upon sitting in it.
  
  Overall, we really loved our stay, would highly recommend to friends and we will be back!

  Our cabin was right on the river with a deck and a hot tub. Had a nice screened in porch area and we used it to relax and listen to the river. The cabin was awesome - loved the lay out.
  
  We ate a lot of our meals at the restaurant on site and tried a lot of the items off the menu - they were all amazing. All the staff were so nice, and we really had fun talking to them. You can tell they all seemed like one big family there.

  We loved our stay at Three Rivers. It was our first family getaway with our daughter, and the set up was generally great for that. The cabin was cozy and having the restaurant on site was great! It was so nice to have the deck and hot tub to have some time together while our daughter was sleeping. The living room furniture was well loved, but worked nicely. The bed was very comfortable! Definitely would come back again in the future when we can enjoy some of the outdoor activities more!

  The cabin we stayed in was immaculately clean. The staff was very responsive to our needs while we were there. We had trouble getting satellite TV to work after hours, so we called the after hours number, and someone was there within 15 minutes to get it working. Also, one evening we realized we needed additional towels, and again, it was no problem getting them. Really impressed with this place and can’t wait to go back!

  The cabin at Three Rivers Resort was PERFECT! If I had designed the cabin myself, it would have looked exactly like this! The hot tub on the deck overlooking the river was great! We sat in it almost every night of our stay. The cabin is thoughtfully designed so that 1 bathroom really isn't an issue if there are 2 couples or more. We ate in a few nights and the cabin kitchen worked perfectly for our needs. We also ate at the resort restaurant where the staff was super nice and the food was tasty. We went fly fishing with a guide at the resort and had a great time with him! He was knowledgeable and took us to a great fishing spot. Overall, it was a fantastic week there and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

  Three Rivers Resort is a wonderful place for a family Summer vacation. There are a lot of things to do at Three Rivers in the summer time. We went rafting with Three Rivers Outfitters (Jersey Jim was an amazing raft guide!) on the upper Taylor with the extender. We also went horseback riding with Fantasy Ranch in Crested Butte, highly recommend this company our trail guide was amazing and full of Interesting botanical knowledge.

  3 Rivers is about location. Location viewing the Taylor River. Given COVID Zour first action was cleaning all the flat surfaces. To be expected. Next I swept the floors of screened porch and deck around the hot tub. Then with a broom doing best to rid the deck railing and uprights of cobwebs. Not expected. Inside the couch wasn't inviting. Nor the easy chair. I've stayed 3 Rivers twice fishing, once skiing and this last visit to fish and golf and the cabins show lots of wear. Time to update furniture, etc.
