Cabin 35

Stonefly (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.) Cabins 31-38 are identical styles. These tiny home “mountain chalets” offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect for families. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping area is low enough for a toddler or small child to be able to climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.

• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 twin mattresses on the floor
• Couch in living room - not a hide-a-bed. If extra bed is needed, please bring an air mattress or sleeping bag.
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs
• Nearby community fire ring may be used
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, hairdryer, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is somewhat limited in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
**For VRBO guests, please refer to your reservation confirmation sent to your email after booking for check-in and unit details. We operate like a hotel with a front desk.**
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   We stayed in a tiny home model cabin and it was perfect for our family (3 people) and dog. Roomy, appliances, dishes, easy access to gunnison and crested butte. Restaurant was ok, not our favorite place to eat with our dog - food is decent, larger portions - more than what one person could eat in a sitting. Can't wait to visit the cabins again.

  Cabin was perfect for my husband and I but would be tight for 4 adults. Plenty of sleeping area but living/dining areas on the small side. Very clean and great location. Definitely need to take all toiletries with you as well as all condiments you might need. Food at restaurant was exceptional and reasonably priced. Staff was beyond hospitable

  We have stayed here in the past and find it a nice getaway. Spent timne hanging around the cabin and ate some meals there. Room was clean and we found all we needed for cooking, linens, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed.
  It was hotter than usual and we knew there is no AC. But is was very, very difficult to cool the room in the evening with the ****** little ossilating fan provided. With a nice box fan you should be able to exhange the air in the room with cool evening air in a half hour. We went to bed at 10pm with the cabin still warm. YOU NEED TO PROVIDE BETTER FANS. The world, including Almont, is getting warmer, you need to upgrade. We will check on the status of this before we are willing to book again.

  I reported a few inconveniencies and I will repeat, the shower head was all over the place, trying to find a good consistent spray from it was challenging. The sprinkler system was targeted to hit our windows so we couldn't open them in the mornings. The picnic table needs to be fixed as it is broken. The kitchen rug is old and worn and could be updated. The kitchen faucet base leaked water when using cold water. Other than these issues, the place was clean.

  We enjoyed our stay, especially the rafting experience. Only negative comment: cabins were quite hot and fans that were provided didn't do much good (No AC). One of the cabins had no fan in it at all. If you have it, bring a portable AC unit, or an additional fan.

  There was a mouse or two in the cabin. It had chewed a paper towel roll under the kitchen cabinet. I could hear them running on the walls as well. I did report this when I left. My sister in law had the same situation.
