Cabin 43

Kingfisher (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.) Cabins 39-44 are identical styles with cabin 49 being similar but having a slightly different layout. These tiny home “mountain chalets” offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect for families. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.

• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 full size mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed).
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs
• Nearby community fire ring may be used
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is somewhat limited in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   Three Rivers Resort was absolutely perfect for our group of 32 people; the entire staff was incredibly kind, the folks at the fly shop were helpful and eager to offer advice, the restaurant offered delicious food that could be served in a unique patio-style layout, and the cabins themselves were perfect--comfortable, cozy, and clean. Michelle was great to work with, highly flexible and understanding, and happy to ensure that our stay went smoothly. Myself, the other individuals that help run the club with me, and the club members were all extremely satisfied with the convenience, location, and cleanliness of the property.   We had a wonderful time! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our cabin was so quaint and very clean. The grounds were very nice also. We played horseshoes and tetherball. It was within walking distance to the river as well. We ate at the restaurant there. The food was absolutely delicious. And our server was very friendly and also very helpful. We inquired about some trails, even though he didn't know many, he went and asked someone else and relayed the information. We hope to get back to this area again. We will definitely would stay here again !!

  My family rented 4 cabins over the 4th and had a great time! Each cabin was well appointed with supplies to cook and clean. We stayed in cabin 43 and felt our deck and yard area was adequate to accommodate 10 people for meals once we all drug chairs around. Our only complaint is the mattress in the bedroom was super hard and uncomfortable. Everyone said the same about their cabins as well. We all ended up sleeping upstairs in the loft where the mattresses were more comfortable. I’d recommend Three Rivers swap the mattresses out for their guests comfort.

  The location is great, as you can expect it's a cabin, not a luxury resort, however, I want to point out a couple things that don't take too much to fix that could make the experience even better, The bed is way to loud, me and my wife woke each other every time we moved an inch, loud screeching noise and my kids noticed a smell in one of the beds up stairs, so they both slept in the other bed. Other than that everything was great.

  Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very clean and we liked the size of the cabin. We were happy to see there were three beds in the cabin (one on the main floor and two in the loft). The resort personnel were extremely helpful and friendly. The only two things that could have been improved were the game equipment (pool table, air hockey and foosball table) were in extremely poor condition. In fact, the air hockey table was not even playable. Also, the volleyball area didn't have actually volleyballs but one semi-inflated soccer ball. The other thing was the breakfast offering. I understand that because of COVID they stopped offering full-service breakfast and will be doing it again next year. But now they just have breakfast burritos and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches.

  We've been coming to Almont area for the last 27 years. We've stayed at Three Rivers too many times to remember bringing our 6 kids with us. Now we traveled for the first time with three of our grandkids, their parents, and a family friends. We had twenty year olds, elementary age kids and us old folks.
  We stayed in cabins 41,42, and 43. These cabins are small but offer a good space for the group to gather on the patio. The lofts are small and you must crawl around up there but good for kids. All the cabins were clean and stocked with the basics you need.
  The biggest complaint I have is the bed. It was so hard and noisy that we went to town and bought an egg crate topper after the first night. That helped but cost about $40.
  There was a large fire pit at the end of the lane to build a big camp fire each night. Our first night we had a huge bear walk right by on his way to the dumpsters, again we've been coming here for 27 years and never had a bear sighting. It was a little unsettling because the bear went right through the playground area to the dumpster of course it was dark. We also saw the beautiful comet Neowise. It was gorgeous as is the whole night sky at Three Rivers.
  The Resorts staff is helpful and informed about all the amenities. We had two different floats, one geared for the young adults and one for the family.
  utilized the fishing guides in the past and had a positive experience. The store has everything you need if your a beginner or looking for a new fly.
  The best thing about Three Rivers is the location. We love to explore the high altitude lakes and the is a great base spot. We usually cook a big breakfast, make a picnic lunch and make a day of it. Our kids love it here and obviously we do too!
  ( I'd give a 5 star if not for the bed!)

  Cabin was nice and cozy short walk disance to campfire. Short distance to fishing pond. Our family had a lovely drive to Taylor reservoir. We had the best time sitting by the campfire nightly with family and friends. Our friends have been going to the resort for years and invited my family we had a great time. I recommend resort for a quiet stay and enjoyable vacation.
