Purple Haze (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)

Cabins 57-67 are identical styles. These deluxe tiny home “mountain chalets” on the Taylor River offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect cabins for families. The best feature is that you are literally steps away from the river. The cabin has a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.
• Approximately 400 square feet
• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 double mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed)
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs and riverside picnic table with fire pit and charcoal grill
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is very tight in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   This was the third year we have gone to Three Rivers. Always love coming here. However, the cabin was not as clean in years past and it needed some much needed maintenance. The refrigerator was very noisy and ran a lot so we didn't get much sleep. There were many cobwebs and dead bugs on the ceiling. A little disappointed in our stay this time.

  This was our third visit in the last four years and every year it gets better and better!!! This time we did white water rafting 4 times with Gisselle (our second year with her) and it was spectacular (HIGHLY recommend the Upper Taylor with the Extender). She is truly gifted and makes the trip exciting, fun and memorable beyond words!! Mike, her husband, is also an outstanding guide and trip leader and makes sure everyone knows their roles and responsibilities while on the river. We float fished with Skylar and he is a Master River Guide and fishermen (fly or spin fishing). He knows the river like no one else I've ever seen and is supper patient with kids (this was our third year with him). Trust his recommendations and you will be well rewarded!! My oldest caught his first northern pike and my youngest caught his first trout on a fly rod (he couldn't stop smiling). Carmen excelled as his fly-fishing instructor and easily taught him the basics. As he improved, she deftly introduced more advanced skills and techniques for him to try. Dirk (one of the owners) was phenomenal getting all this coordinated and Hadley took care of so many things like photos and splash gear, we felt like VIPs!! Michelle and the rest of the front office staff excelled at seamlessly taking care of our every need and we wanted for nothing (she even mailed us some things we forgot at checkout). Ryan and the chefs at the Smokehouse have done a great job upgrading the menu and the food was excellent!! We stayed in Cabin 57 on the river and it was very comfortable, equipped with all the cooking utensils we needed and includes a fire pit right by the river. I will never forget the smiles on my kids' faces and the laughter in the air as they beat me in tetherball and horseshoes. This is a spectacular family vacation resort, and we will continue to come back in the years ahead. The memories we've made here will last a lifetime and I highly recommend you stay and make you

  We came up for fishing and some relaxation. The cabin was clean and comfortable and had a great view. It was a little tiny which pictures did not show but was fine.   First, the people there are AWESOME!!! Everyone from the front desk to the waitresses, bartenders, rafting and fishing guides go above and beyond to make your stay memorable. And, when a night time storm knocked out power and reset the Dish Satellite reception, maintenance had it fixed in 30 mins. The cabin is clean and well maintained. Plenty of utensils, plates, glassware and pots and pans. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Right on the river with easy access and a fire pit next to the picnic table. A large deck with another table and four chairs make outdoor dining easy. Really can’t say enough good things about Three Rivers and highly recommend staying there and using the rafting and fishing guides for a lifetime of memories!!   If you were going to ask me what would be my dream 50th birthday vacation, I would reply, "Reserve a cabin on the river at Three Rivers Resort and go fishing." This is our 5th trip to Three Rivers Resort and they always (and I mean always) deliver. The cabin sits on the river and we caught many fish right outside the cabin. The cabin was clean and had all the items needed for your stay (pots, pans, bowls, cups, plates, cooking and eating utensils, etc.) We also noticed that there is a bus stop right outside of Three Rivers to get you to the slopes if that is your jam! Love this place and we will be back...probably for the Salmon run later this year.

  We enjoyed our stay at 3 Rivers for a family reunion summer 2021. The location was amazing being on the water. We took a float on the rapids and caught several trout under the catch-and-release guidelines. We played Bingo and bought our souvenirs at the gift shop. Being midway between Gunnison and Crested Butte allowed for hikes nearby and shopping in town. It was a fabulous experience.

  Stay was great. We were hunting with Ron Patterson's group and were very disappointed with learning of the complaints that were made regarding his stay as we were part of the group. It was surprising to learn that the negative and false information provided by a neighbor would be accepted without first approaching Ron and getting a more accurate picture of events and accusations. We all take pride in our ethics as hunters and humans. Nothing we contributed could remotely land us in the realm of "raucous" - along with false accusations that were made referencing any one in our party "doing doughnuts in the parking lot". We did however feel the disdain displayed by the folks' renting to the east of Ron. I'm guessing jealousy played a major role in the complaints/fabrications created by the neighboring tenants - such a dissappointment. Thank you for taking the time. Michael Martodam

  The cabin is small but quite comfortable with everything you could need for a nice stay. The kitchen is well equipped. The best part is the big covered deck only about 20 ft from the Taylor River. Another good thing about this cabin 57 is it's on the end of the row right next to the dog walking area and with two small dogs that was convenient for us. Be aware that because of it's location parking is pretty tight. Three Rivers is in a great place at the head of Taylor Canyon and about 15 to 20 minutes to Gunnison or Crested Butte. Overall a very good place to spend a few days or a week.
