Cabins 57-67 are identical styles. These deluxe tiny home “mountain chalets” on the Taylor River offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect cabins for families. The best feature is that you are literally steps away from the river. The cabin has a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.
• Approximately 400 square feet
• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 double mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed)
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs and riverside picnic table with fire pit and charcoal grill
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), hairdryer, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is very tight in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   This is the perfect property if you want to enjoy the relaxing sound of a mountain stream. Beautiful bay windows allow you to view and hear the stream from the comfortable living area. You are literally "a stone's throw" from the water. You have a well equipped kitchen or you can choose to dine or get carry out at the Smokehouse Restaurant across the road. Picnic tables and grills are available allowing you to enjoy the outdoors. The central location gives you opportunities to easily access Taylor Reservoir, Gunnison and Crested Butte. Check in and check out are very easy. Internet and cell phone service were very good, but you really just want to enjoy the opportunity to "unplug " Will definitely plan to return.

  The resort was well kept as last time we stayed several years ago. We were not thrilled with the accommodations in the “cabin”. We are all tall in my family, over 5’10”. It was very unpleasant trying to shower in a stall where the shower head was so low we had to do acrobatics to wash our head. It was also excessively priced this time as compared to previous stays.

  We love staying at 3 rivers.But this time the TV was not working correctly. The remotes needed batteries and we couldn't get any but QVC. We don't go there to watch TV. But we do like to see the news and weather in the morning. We ask to have it looked at but no one came until the last night we were there. The wifi was almost non-existent. The staff was very nice. The cabin was very clean. It's a great location and the grounds are well maintained.

  We enjoyed our stay at Three Rivers Fishing Resort in mid September. Hearing the river outside our window was soothing. The staff was helpful when we checked in & found our cabin had a strong smell of tobacco though it is a non smoking resort. Fortunately, the smell dissipated with open windows & fans. It was a convenient place to stay for easy access to Crested Butte, Gunnison & a beautiful drive up to Taylor Reservoir. We would recommend this property to others especially if they were into fishing though we did not fish. We were here for sightseeing & relaxing.

  Our Christmas stay was overall good. I would say the price we paid for the 400 square footage cabin was way overpriced. I would give this stay a 3.5 stars. The description provided online for the cabin should be better in describing what is included for each cabin specifically. The most disappointing thing about our stay was the lack of internet. I was told they had internet and we wanted to stream our apps on the fire stick/roku. The internet is poor at best and shared between all cabins. When we arrived the cabin was very dusty but overall acceptable. It would be nice to have the property shoveled so you can walk by the river and the dog park shoveled as well. The snow was thick and you were unable to see where the next step led by the river so we only saw the river by the deck. We would stay here again and now know what to expect with this small cabin. It was a cute cabin with the essentials but again would only stay if the price is right.
  
  Things to know:
  Cabin 58 has a DVD player. Need to bring foil, saran wrap, zip lock bags, spices, basic cooking materials, coffee, etc. The cabin had all cooking dishes, pans and utensils. There is a toaster and coffee pot. The loft is not walkable (you cannot stand up), you have to crawl on your knees to get around. For kids it is feasible, not for adults. The cabin had good storage. This cabin had a couch that fits only two comfortably and a rocking chair. The cabin heats nicely and quickly. The lighting outside by the parking is dark so bring a flashlight or use your phone when taking out a dog. A 10 minute easy drive to Gunnison and 20 minutes from Created Butte.

  We loved our rustic tiny house experience! Being located steps down to the river, our children spent much time in and near the water playing and exploring. The covered front porch allowed us to enjoy meals outdoors with the calming sound of the river nearby. We grilled and roasted s'mores on the firepit. My husband woke early and easily fly-fished in the river.

  The unit was well equipped, clean and today. No ceiling fans, no a/c and it was hot! I would have brought my own fans, if I’d known. The mosquitos are horrible at dawn & dusk. Had to pay $12 for OFF at the store- when I probably have 10 cans of deet at home. Pool is great, clean & refreshing - the reservation system for COVID worked well. Our unit was close to the road, I would have liked to know there would be a certain noise level in the kitchen & living room. Bedrooms are in the back - so at least sleeping was fine as the windows needed to be open for the heat. Toni in the office was wonderful and very very helpful with up-to-date area information. The food at the restaurant was much better than I expected for “bar food”. We did take out a number of times. Restaurant is presently only open for dinner. It was a very relaxing time for me, my husband and dog! Highly recommended.
