**We regret to inform you that shared hot tubs will be closed down permanently.**
Cabins 57-67 are identical styles. These deluxe tiny home “mountain chalets” on the Taylor River offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect cabins for families. The best feature is that you are literally steps away from the river. The cabin has a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.
• Approximately 400 square feet
• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 double mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed)
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs and riverside picnic table with fire pit and charcoal grill
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is very tight in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
**For VRBO guests, please refer to your reservation confirmation sent to your email after booking for check-in and unit details. We operate like a hotel with a front desk.**
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   Spent three nights in #61 the Mickey Finn. Each morning we opened the windows and feasted on the sound of the Taylor. Things are a little cramped but everything we needed was there (except salt and pepper). At 6'2.5" I could even stand straight up in the shower. We found Crested Butte, Taylor Reservoir and Gunnison easy to get to, The hiking was good, the scenery amazing and I landed some rainbows in the reservoir. We may even come back in two weeks to see the Aspens in color. PS If you are over 4' tall don't go upstairs except to sleep.

  My wife and I stayed here for a quick and quiet weekend getaway and it was wonderful. We’ve stayed at the Three Rivers Resort in the past and have always enjoyed the location, the cleanliness of the cabins, and helpfulness of the staff. It was a short drive to Crested Butte which provided me with excellent snowboarding and my wife enjoyed spending some quiet time in the cabin. The view of the river was beautiful. My only complaint would have to be the hardness of one of the mattresses where we stayed this time. It felt more like sleeping on a board vs a bed. We ended up sleeping on the other mattresses in the loft which were more comfortable so in the end it all worked out and we enjoyed our stay.

  The cabin location was great and staff very nice and helpful. I stay at 3 rivers every year for 2-3 weeks. My only disappointment was the carpet stunk so badly that I had to buy some cleaning products to get the smell out and sanitize it. I was in the same unit (cabin 61) the previous year and it smelled badly back then as well. I would strongly recommend replacing the carpet or install vinyl flooring for cleanliness and sanitation. Other than that I had a great stay.

  Mixed review. We stayed in cabin 59 in 2020, loved it. Our daughter got engaged that day and we celebrated there. On 7-Feb I booked cabin 59 again because of the large lawn area, open view of the river and memories we made. I know all cabins are the same. I booked 59 for the site. We spend our time outside
  PROS: Cabin was very clean. Housekeeping is great. Rafting front desk, great + our guide Mitch, who we requested for this year, just like in 2020
  CONS: received an email a week before arriving that final payment was due on cabin 61. We booked 59! Apparently a switch was made several months ago but I never was notified of this at that time?! I contacted the resort and was told that I should have made a note that I wanted 59... I didn’t see I should have made a note when I specifically booked 59. Felt like “it was my fault we were switched out of 59.” I was told that you all would see what could be done. When I arrived on 17-Jun, nothing changed, we were still in 61. I was upset & asked is there anything you could do. Michelle said she would contact the GM and get back to us. After 3 days, no contact. There were ~4 cabins surrounding cabins 60 and 61, two on each side, all in a group who moved three picnic tables together in front of one of the cabins. Our neighbors in 60 didn’t have a picnic table nor access to a fire pit. We offered they use ours, they did. When my wife mentioned the three tables to the front desk they said that it wasn’t true, she was wrong, that each cabin has their own table. The large group was up until at least 11 making noise and walking on the river side of our cabin all evening. The next morning a nice maintenance guy separated the tables. I don’t know why cabin 59 was booked as part of a larger group when we were put in the middle versus putting them at one end? Also, not all cabins were even sold out during our stay. It just felt like we were put last in everything that happened and nothi

  I have stayed at 3 rivers resort a total of 11 times since 2010 and would be alot more if personal issues allowed. The location is perfect as it is located 10 minutes out of Gunnison which allows for less crowds and the resort is on the Taylor river with immediate access to river/lake fishing, fly fishing, rafting
  hiking, biking, hunting (in the fall) and any other outdoor activity 1 could want to do. The cabin was complete with all your needs to cook, relax, sleep.

  My wife and I stayed in a unit on the river. We found it to be clean and well kept however it was, as advertised, a bit on the small size. I would not recommend it for a large group, but we did very nicely. It is located well between Gunnison and Crested Butte for day trips and good fly fishing.

  Cozy cabin - I had three beds I could sleep on (I was traveling alone) and I chose to sleep on the sofa in the living room space with the windows by the Taylor River open so I could enjoy the peaceful sounds all night long. I wish I could have stayed forever. <3
  
  The cabin was clean. The other visitors were peaceful. The staff was jovial and helpful.
  
  Only annoyances were: (1) There was a tree right next to my parking space that had a hornets nest somewhere in or near it. I had to dowse my vehicle with the wasp spray that was left on the porch, indicating that it is a known issue. I was not mad, because I am a nature lover... even our beloved and gorgeous hornets need to have a home. I just wasn't expecting to wash my car in bug spray prior to leaving the area.
  (2) The photos on line make the area appear spacious and wide open with a lot of distance between the cabins and a lot of woodland around the cabins. This is NOT the case at all. It is actually a congested area and you look out the side cabin windows directly into the cabin window next door. I imagine this is not distracting to most visitors because leaving on day trips is common. It is definitely a place to visit for fishing and day trips -- not going too provide a secluded get away (I was hoping to rent a place that was more secluded for my solo trip).
  Again, I was not upset, it was just a little different than I anticipated. That's on me.

The only downside in our stay is this resort doesn't have gluten free options, other than a few different protein bars they sell in the store. The restaurant is not safe for those who are allergic to gluten. Fortunately, Crested Butte and Gunnison are both short drives away where many restaurants have gluten free options.

  The cabin location was perfect, on the river.Overall enjoyed our stay.However I would like to suggest a few things. When paying $200 a night I would except a better cleaning job inside the cabins. Spider webs on the inside of all the windows looking at the river, a shreded bathmat, mouse droppings inside pans everyday we used them,dust all over the back of couch,tv stand and fireplace. The other annoying thing is all the people cutting in between cabins to access the river. Also you have a nice grassy area with a picnic table in front of your cabin, however this becomes a walkway for numerous people fishing, they just cut through your space that you paid for to access the river. I usually don't write reviews but just trying to offer my feelings.
