Three Rivers Resort is ideally situated in the heart of Almont, CO, just 20 minutes south of Crested Butte and 10 minutes north of Gunnison.

Cabins 57-67 are identical styles. These deluxe tiny home “mountain chalets” on the Taylor River offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect cabins for families. The best feature is that you are literally steps away from the river. The cabin has a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.
• Approximately 400 square feet
• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 double mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed)
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs and riverside picnic table with fire pit and charcoal grill
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is very tight in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
**For VRBO guests, please refer to your reservation confirmation sent to your email after booking for check-in and unit details. We operate like a hotel with a front desk.**
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional $20/night/dog, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   Sometimes you just need to get away and this place was perfect. The river was so peaceful. The tiny home was adorable. The location was perfect. Just 10 minutes away from Gunnison for a good steak dinner, 10-20 minutes away from beautiful hiking, stunning mountain views and a reservoir, and another 20 minutes away from the beautiful ski town of Mt. Crested Butte. Staff was friendly and their store/gift shop was so nice to have on the property. I would highly recommend the tiny homes on the river and plan to go back myself.

  We’ve stayed at Three Rivers before so planned a winter Crested Butte Ski weekend. Loved our cabin location on the River but that’s where the good experience ended. No lodge breakfast or services available in winter, not even salt or pepper in the kitchen with lots of empty storage space; our cabin floor was covered in animal hair, the microwave sounded like it was about to explode, and the television in our cabin was not smart (accessible to streaming) and was the size of a laptop computer. The wifi signal was very slow for even downloading email much less other uses. I expected more since I was paying their premium price. I won’t choose Cabin 66 and will ask a lot more questions if I stay again or recommend to a friend.

  We've stayed at Almont with 3 Rivers quite a few times for the last number of years (summer and winter). Staff is always helpful and flexible. They let us check in early and check out late.
  If I had a complaint it would be the price. Not sure if it's COVID related or just raised on general. It's making it harder to stay more than a couple nights.

Was a bit disappointed this year just a bit, with Covid activities were very minimal (no fishing at pond for children, hot tubs not in use, fire ban due to the fires, limited to no activities available this year).
