Three Rivers Resort is ideally situated in the heart of Almont, CO, just 20 minutes south of Crested Butte and 10 minutes north of Gunnison.
Beaded Little Mayfly (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.)
Cabins 57-67 are identical styles. These deluxe tiny home “mountain chalets” on the Taylor River offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect cabins for families. The best feature is that you are literally steps away from the river. The cabin has a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping loft is high but a small child could potentially climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.

• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 double mattresses on the floor
• Full size sofa in living room (not a hide-a-bed)
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs and riverside picnic table with fire pit and charcoal grill
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is very tight in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
**For VRBO guests, please refer to your reservation confirmation sent to your email after booking for check-in and unit details. We operate like a hotel with a front desk.**
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional $20/night/dog, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.     We booked the tiny cabin for two nights in winter. Absolutely incredible. The design and layout of everything was just so wonderful. It’s like the owners had thought of everything we could think of. The three of us stayed quite comfortable, and the dog loved it. Backing up to the Taylor river was wonderful for fishing, snowshoeing, and hiking.

    Three Rivers Resort takes pride in their cabins and property. We also booked a rafting trip on the upper Taylor extended trip. Well worth the price. Our guide was very good at what he does. We will definately be back

    We stumbled upon this treasure - 3 Rivers Resort - while making a quick trip to Colorado, to escape the Texas heat. WOW! We hit jackpot! This place is picture perfect and everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) is so friendly, kind and helpful. The food at the resort is EXCELLENT and very reasonably priced. The highlight of our stay was rafting the Upper Taylor River with Vito. It was a rip roaring good time - and he took the time to share about the flora and fauna. We'll be back - sooner than later!

    My wife, daughter and I rented a cabin from Three Rivers for my Bday in March. This has become an annual trip for us over the past few years, but this year our daughter joined us as well. There was about 2' of snow, but the cabin was cozy and warm. Everything you need to make a great weekend. There was plenty of room for myself, my wife and daughter. In fact, you could sleep up to 6 people in the cabin (queen bed in back room, 2 queen beds in loft). We love the location of Three Rivers Resort that allows you some great fishing out the back, up the road below the Taylor Res, on the Gunnison or in Crested Butte. We will definitely be back again and this time, we bringing everyone. Thank you for everything you guys do to make our stays memorable.

    Fantastic location if you like to fish, raft, proximity to Gunnison, CB...overall a really great resort and experience. Riverfront small cabins are great and have everything you need.     First, the good. Location is great, right on river. It was also clean when we arrived. Thats were the good stops. Now the bad, it is not a cozy cabin mountain chalet as they described in the listing. It is a straight up trailer with fake wood on outside. The entire thing is made of plastic with zero space on the inside to do anything as a group, it is extremely tight. It really feels flimsy and cheap. A senior citizen would not be able to access the loft due to the stairs being too sharp of grade The plastic walls are paper thin so you can even hear people/car doors slamming outside. I would't have rented if they actually described what it was. Don't expect any privacy here with the noise. I wouldn't recommend this to families, couples or really anybody actually seeking a true mountain cabin experience. I would recommend this to people on a budget solely looking for a crash pad to sleep, but beware, they may try to charge you a $250 smoking fee if they "know they smell something" like they did to us. Quote the property manager, "although we have zero evidence, we had two different peoples sniffers verify what you did" My wife and I absolutely never smoked marijuana inside this trailer like they accused us of. Just renter beware, avoid this one and look elsewhere

    I was quite disappointed that the hot tub was closed. I also was under the impression that I was renting a cabin with a private hot tub.. it was the main reason I booked this place. However that was not the case and it was not clear upon booking. We actually checked out a day early. Otherwise the unit was clean and the location was lovely.     The cabin is small and space is tight in places (shower and master bedroom), especially since I'm 6'4". But the cleanliness, location, and amenities were extremely nice. We would definitely stay here again.

    My family and I stayed at this resort back in August and it was so much fun! All the staff was very friendly, the food was great and we loved the location! It was beautiful and very cozy cabin.     back to 3 rivers for a break from being locked up for months. river front cabins are nice location for sure. front desk staff seem distracted with too many things going on. cabin wifi is not functional, kitchen ok, towels and linen old and used. check out was same as check in, staff not focused on customer
