**Special Note - starting January 1, 2021 the upstairs 2 bedroom unit was combined with the downstairs 4 bedroom home.**
This wonderful vacation home sits directly across from the main store/office and just a short stroll to the Taylor River. With 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a den (with a loft), it offers many sleeping options and a lot of space for a large family or group. For families with young children, it is ideal with a fenced yard. You could easily spend your days relaxing by the hot tub or on the front porch.
• Approximately 2500 square feet
• Master bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed, walk-in closet and private bathroom
•Second bedroom downstairs has a queen size bed
•Third bedroom downstairs has a bunk bed (twin size)
•A fourth bedroom downstairs is an oversized hallway closet with a single day bed
•A second bathroom downstairs has a tub/shower
• In the den, there is a ladder that leads to a very small sleeping loft with single mattress
•Upstairs, one bedroom has two full size beds and the other bedroom has two single beds.
•There is a full kitchen downstairs and a kitchenette (no stove/oven) upstairs
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• NOT included: Laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries, anything edible although some basics like salt 'n pepper are stocked.
• Parking here for 2 vehicles in front and 2 vehicles in back. Depending on size, one or two small trailers may also fit here but overflow parking may be found across the street or behind the home.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.
**For VRBO guests, please refer to your reservation confirmation sent to your email after booking for check-in and unit details. We operate like a hotel with a front desk.**
All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional nightly fee, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 11 people. There is an additional fee of $10/person/night for extra persons (ages 7 and over). Maximum occupancy is 14. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time.   We had the house across from the fly shop. Spacious, clean, stocked with all necessary items to make cooking easy. When it rained, windows leaked and several couldn't be opened, but it ony rained once!

  The size of this home was great for a large extended family gathering. The kitchen was huge and well stocked with pots, pans, and cooking tools (more so than many other rentals I’ve been in). The isn’t much else in the town of Almont other than this resort, but it’s close to Gunnison and an easy drive to Crested Butte. The private hot tub was a great bonus!

  All the staff at Three Rivers Resort was very friendly and pleasant. The resort is really charming and is in a beautiful location. We rented the large home (149) with another family and still had TONS OF SPACE. This could easily accommodate 3 - 4 families.
  We had plenty of towels, linens, pillows, flatware, etc. The home was very clean and neatly presented upon our arrival. The beds were very comfortable! The hot tub was great (although too hot for us - we turned it down) and it is serviced daily, so we knew it was very clean.
  Home 149 has a nice fenced yard and older-style swing set for the kids. We really enjoyed staying here for our family vacation!

  We love three rivers resort. Have been coming here since I was a kid, now bringing my own kids. Only issues we had: 1. A very bad mice problem inside the house which we understand it’s the mountains so it wasn’t a huge deal to us but may be for those who are not familiar with staying in the mountains. 2. The carpet was beyond filthy and has been the same carpet since we stood in this same cabin years ago. Other than that, we have nothing else to say but the staff is still friendly as ever and the food is still good in the restaurant!

  We had originally booked an Airbnb up near Crested Butte but had to vacate it due to construction remodeling issues. I had stayed at Three Rivers numerous times in the past but not with the large group we had on this trip. I stopped by Three Rivers and fortunately they had Cabin Home #149 available and agreed to let us reserve it for two nights since we were in a bind. This home fit our group very comfortably and everything was great in all respects. We all loved the private and secluded hot tub and the flyfishing on the Taylor river. We will definitely return to rent this cabin home again. Thanks again to the Three Rivers staff for accommodating us at the last minute when we needed it most!

  We rented two beautiful homes right on the river. The management was extremely accommodating. The one who made reservations had a family crisis and allowed me to take over by just making a phone call. They also knew we wanted to take a raft trip and arranged for us to do it, even though they officially hadn’t started rafting yet. The house were clean and comfy!
  It fit our group needs well! Many of us talked about renting and bringing our family back to these home!

  Great place for 7 members of extended family visiting more family in Gunnison for Thanksgiving, including a super-senior. Property is not ADA, but worked ok for the senior with mobility limitations. Staff was very helpful before and after arrival -- even shoveled snow to make a path for a walker. Will definitely consider this property again in the future - especially for some fishing.

  We love staying at Three Rivers! This particular trip was the first time we stayed in Home 149, I love that the Resort has combined it to one rental property. However, with the size of this cabin I think the kitchen could have been better stocked with large pots and pans, and more cups and dish ware. Their was an empty room off the den with loft where the good have moved the furniture from the den too, and added a bed under the loft for additional sleeping space. There were a couple of exterior doors that did not lock, and some windows that did not open, which I think are important things to have functional during the stay. Overall we had an amazing time and would rent again!

  This home is much bigger than the photos show. It was great for our group of 11. Three Rivers was very responsive and accomodating of our group both before and during our stay.   Amazingly clean and cozy! There was plenty room for the 7 of us and much more room to spare. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We have stayed in other creekside cabins the past several years. This year we decided to bring our friends to share the experience. Very well handled with the COVID. While checking in a gentleman walked in before me and was asked to return with a mask. Everyone was wearing a mask properly and we felt very confident and comfortable staying here! Very relaxing and we enjoyed the privacy of the house on a much needed vacation! We sleep with the windows open so the road side traffic was a bit noisy. We would recommend either closing the windows or booking another cabin further back. In past years we’ve never heard the traffic before. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but the amenities in the house made up for it. The house was equipped with a steam shower in the master. The kitchen was stocked with a crock pot, toaster oven, spices, and every platter and casserole dish you can think of. The house had a piano that everyone enjoyed. And the washer/dryer in the house couldn’t be more convenient. We decided to finally try the float trip to Garlic Mike’s. Only regret is not trying this sooner. Outstanding food and a great time! And take it from someone who has done almost all the rafting trips with 3Rivers, they know what they are doing! I would recommend them over all outfitters due to their training and professionalism. Next year can’t come soon enough!
